I recently had the good fortune to spend a week in England (London, mostly) with my girlfriend, Barbara. Among other highlights was our visit to the "Spit and Sawdust" boxing gym in Banbury. Spit and Sawdust is run by a terrific guy named Dave Earle (MBE). Here is a picture of Dave wearing a Front Range Boxing shirt which we sent him. I consider him a friend and a boxing brother. Turns out his father fought Pat Stapleton, former former Irish Heavyweight Champion and a guy I used to train with at the VA Hospital when I first started training in Brockton in 1968.
