Fellow Front Range Boxer Peyton Pacheco impresses in first amateur fight

16 year old Front Range Boxing member Peyton Pacheco made his amateur heavyweight boxing debut Sunday, July 28 2024 against Ashton Robinson of Colorado Springs in the 3rd Annual Cleto Reyes Gladiators Challenge Invitational in Longmont. Peyton and Ashton went toe to toe for a round and a half in one of the outstanding slug fests of the tournament. The referee stopped the fight in the middle of the second round as the much more experienced Robinson (4 fights to 0) scored a TKO. This was the first fight in which Robinson was unable to stop his opponent in the first round. Peyton’s skill and grit took Robinson into unfamiliar territory. Even though he lost, Peyton showed he has what it takes to be a fighter. We look forward to seeing Peyton step into the ring again in this spring’s Colorado Golden Gloves tournament next March.
